Many WordPress developers are using WordPress with WPBakery (formerly Visual Composer), with WPBakery having sold over 380,000 copies on Envato! With WordPress releasing their 5.0 Gutenberg update, which introduced an innovative ‘blocks’ system very similar to WPBakery, a lot of websites broke.
Fortunately for all users, WPBakery rolled an update to cover that with the introduction of Gutenberg, and it doesn’t even need the classic editor plugin installed. As always, update your plugins and backup your site prior to updating to the latest edition of WordPress. Initially, WPBakery broke when WordPress 5 released, and we found a lot of website owners had broken code all over their site – an indication they did not have the latest WPBakery installed!
In WPBakery’s version 5.6, they introduced buttons at the top, bringing you the familiar interface you’re used to:
